Photography Packaging | Missy B Photography | Walnut Creek, CA Newborn Photographer

After being in business for a couple years I’ve tried tons and tons of packaging products and I’m finally at a place where I feel like I’ve found exactly where I want to be style wise. For me, I want my packaging to be more than just a box full of photos or a CD, I want it to be like opening a gift. I want it to carry on the style, whimsy and playfulness of my branding, all while providing a safe way to transport the final product to my clients. I’m super excited to share these items with you & hope you enjoy!

Organization, we all need it. Why not make it fun? I like to have my packaging close at hand and easy to access, this cute crate does just the trick!

For my prints, I choose these image boxes from H-B Photo Packaging in Razzleberry

The 8×10 Print Boxes and 5×7 Print Boxes fit my prints and proof books perfectly. I tie them off with a cute chevron ribbon in my branding colors. Larger prints & Canvas wraps are wrapped in Kraft Paper.

For my thumb drives, I use H-B Wallet boxes– I love the size and the window is perfect for showing off my cute new thumb drives!
The thumb drives are from Flashbay & I just love them. After trying several other styles & vendors, I am totally in love with these. Not only do they have great prices & low minimum orders, they have awesome customer service and super fast shipping. They have tons of styles and colors to choose from as well!

For my digital clients that choose thumb drives, I include a folded business card sized print release that includes my consumer lab recommendation to Mpix.com

I just love these thumb drive holders from The Pink Dandelion
With a button closure to keep the thumb drive safe, they can be custom made in an array of fabrics & embellishments to fit your branding. I especially love that my logo can be put on the back!
I also use the Pink Dandelion for my digital clients that choose to have their images saved onto a disk. The disk holders are sturdy, beautiful and functional! With an interior disk pocket and pocket for info cards as well as a button closure, they are sure to keep your clients disk safe from dust and scratches.
I include a print release on the disk itself along with the paper version as well as a referral card with website info for printing their images at consumer lab Mpix.com. I also include a card that covers portrait care as well as my referral program that rewards my clients for referring friends & family.

With their order, my digital clients get a 4×6 spiral bound proof book of each of the images they purchase. This is a good reference for when they purchase prints later and it also makes a cute brag book they can toss in a purse or onto a coffee table! All my press printing, photo prints & proof printing are done at Millers Professional Imaging.

Some clients like to purchase prints and then a single/small number of digital files- those images are saved onto a custom disk I have printed by Millers Professional Imaging and delivered onto a 3×3 trifold card. I purchased CD hubs (found on Amazon.com) with sticker backing and put them in the center of the card. The disk has the print release as well as the trifold holder. This is a nice, customizable and inexpensive alternative to disk packaging.

I like to throw in little surprises for my clients. I use these cute tie bags from The Pink Dandelion to put gifts like a set of complimentary wallets.  I love that these bags can be reused for lots of things and what better way to get your name out there!?
Each of my newborn clients gets a custom onesie made by all41sies1sies4all
I just love how it incorporates my bee branding!
Along with their package, clients receive a handful of mini moo cards from moo.com The cards each have a different photo (talk about a walking portfolio!) and are for the client to give to friends and family. This small card is part of my referral program, the person that refers the new client gets a $25 print/digital credit and the new client does as well. Like many of you, referrals are a huge part of my business and it’s a big compliment when clients send their friends & family to me!
The Pink Dandelion recently released these adorable business card holders, perfect for my Moo.com business cards and the mini moo cards. With a nice elastic button closure, your cards will stay protected and stylish!
I also use Moo.com stickers for packaging, they add the nice final touch!
For every session I do, I create a custom slideshow for my clients, I use every opportunity to incorporate my branding
into the packaging.
Who doesn’t love candy!? As part of keeping things fun, I like to include treats that aren’t sticky/gooey so they can be eaten while the client opens up their package and enjoys looking at their photos. Since the Jelly Belly Factory is only about 30 miles from my studio, I figure it’s only fitting I give my clients the best jelly beans on Earth! I like to package them in cute kraft pillow boxes tied up with pretty twine that matches my branding colors.
I use these custom 2″ & 3″ labels from PaperJacks and they are perfect to put on my print boxes, gift bags, new client welcome folders…pretty much everywhere!
When I was looking for custom stamps I wanted something unique…once I found This Is Just To Say I didn’t have to look any further! How cool is it…hand carved and check the awesome real wood handle? I just love how it turned out!
Some of my clients travel an hour plus to get to me so I offer mail service. These boxes from Office Depot are perfect!
To seal the box, I use a large sticker from Millers Professional Printing, which also serves as a return address label.
I’m in love with chevron…a quick search on Etsy turns up tons of option for washi tape and paper chevron mini bags you can use for little gifts/wallets…the options are limitless!

For smaller packages, these recycled padded envelopes from the Container Store are perfect!

If you are looking for inexpensive labels in a variety of colors that you can make on your own, check out Paper Source
If you’ve never been there, you are truly missing out…they have awesome stationary products and must haves like these…
I mean seriously?! When was the last time you saw finger monsters and Fruit Stripe Gum? It’s like a toy store for adults. If you aren’t lucky enough to have one nearby, you can always shop their online store.
Everything gets packed up and put in a pretty paper bag for the client
Because I’m 34 going on 7, I couldn’t resist playing with my new friends…
